Vanessa has accumulated more than 25 years in the immigration field, having a particular and professional interest in human mobility and human rights. In her career, she has worked as a Legal Officer for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees -UNHCR- allowing her to travel around the world knowing the best of multiple cultures; as a Costa Rican she wants to share the beauty and benefits of the country with that international community. Vanessa has assisted large law firms in the implementation of their Immigration Services Units; as an expert in Immigration and Human Rights, she actively participated in the drafting of the current Immigration Law No. 8764, which allows her to provide a solid and comprehensive advice to our clients on Costa Rican immigration legislation. She is currently the Deputy of the Liaison Commission on Immigration Matters between the Immigration Department and the Costa Rican Bar Association.
